Japanese Abstracts - Before 2000

For Japanese abstracts before 2000 'YY' is the imperial year. For years 01 to 09, the format is just 'Y' and the leading zero should omitted. The patent number should always be six digits, zero filled if necessary.

For Japanese abstracts from 2000 onwards, 'YYYY' is the western year. The patent number should always be six digits, zero filled if necessary.
